About Marisa Hi, I'm Marisa.

This work started with a simple ask: officiate a friend's wedding. What I didn't expect was how much I would care about getting it right — about telling their story in a way that felt true, thoughtful, and completely their own.

Since then, that's become the foundation of everything I do.

A ceremony isn't a formality. It's the most personal story you'll ever tell. The kind that lingers. The kind that's felt in the room. It's creative. It's connective. It's a love story. Written with care. Designed to sound like you.

I take the time to get to know each couple — their full story, what makes them them. I'm drawn to the in-between moments — the way people speak to each other, the shared humor, the quiet details that define a relationship.

Marisa, Wedding Officiant

I listen closely. I ask the questions other people skip.

I write ceremonies that reflect it all back — natural, real, and completely yours.

Fully Custom Every word written from scratch. No templates. No fill-in-the-blank. Your ceremony exists nowhere else.
Deep Listening A real intake process — the questions others skip. By the time we're done, I know your story well enough to tell it.
What I Offer The experience.

Not just a ceremony — an experience of being known, heard, and reflected back with care. Every ceremony is written from scratch. Whether it's a full room or something more intimate, the work is the same: thoughtful, personal, and entirely yours.

The Signature Ceremony A custom ceremony written from scratch and officiated with warmth, humor, and heart.

From your first inquiry to your final vow, I handle every word. We'll collaborate on tone, story, and structure — so when the day arrives, all you have to do is show up and feel it.

Script-Only Ceremonies A fully written ceremony script — for when a friend or family member is officiating.

I write the complete ceremony; your chosen officiant delivers it. Every word is personalized, rehearsed, and ready. You get the story — they get the confidence.

Officiant Coaching One-on-one guidance for anyone speaking or officiating a ceremony.

Whether you're a first-time officiant or want to say something meaningful, I'll help you find your words, rehearse your delivery, and show up with confidence on the day.

Vow Writing Support Guided resources and 1:1 support to help you write vows that feel like you.

From workbooks to live coaching sessions, I help you move through the blank page and into words that are honest, personal, and truly yours.

Kind Words Did we celebrate your love? If I had the honor of officiating your ceremony, I'd be so grateful for your words.

The Process How it works.
Step 01 We commit

Contract, deposit, date held. Then I ask one simple question: what's your vibe? Hands-off or involved at every step — both are welcome.

Step 02 I learn your story

I want to know your story well enough to tell it. A Google Form, phone call, or voice notes give the most honest, personal reflection.

Step 03 I write it

I take the pieces of your story, add my craft, and write a ceremony that could only ever be yours. Then I send it for review — or not.

Step 04 We refine

Rounds of edits and tone tweaks — or opt out and let me refine it solo. Completely your call.

Every couple is different What's your vibe?
Hands Off

Send me your story and trust me completely. You won't see the script until the day.

Somewhere In Between

Review it once, make a few tweaks, and call it done. Most couples land here.

All In

Multiple rounds, story swaps, line-by-line. You know what you want and I'm here for it.

Just let me know your vibe once we commit — there's no wrong answer.

Questions & Answers Good to know.
How do we book you?

Start by reaching out through the contact form on the Connect page. After you inquire, I'll share a detailed guide outlining my services and investment. If it feels like a fit, you can reply and we'll move forward with next steps from there.

What types of ceremonies do you offer?

Weddings, elopements, and vow renewals — all written from scratch and delivered with heart. I also offer script-only services if a friend or family member is officiating, along with 1:1 coaching for anyone speaking during the ceremony.

Are you legally ordained?

Yes — I'm ordained through the Universal Life Church and legally authorized to officiate weddings across the U.S. If your ceremony is out of state, I'm happy to confirm any local requirements.

Do you travel outside Metro Detroit?

Absolutely. I'm available for ceremonies near and far — simply share your location and I'll provide a custom travel quote.

How much do your services cost?

I share detailed service and investment information after you reach out. This allows you to review everything clearly before deciding whether to move forward — and helps ensure we're aligned before scheduling time together.

Can you attend the rehearsal?

Yes — rehearsal attendance is available as an add-on. It's not always necessary, but if you want that extra layer of calm and clarity, I'm happy to be there. We'll talk through what makes the most sense for your day.

Do you help with vows or ceremony scripts?

Absolutely. Whether you're writing your own vows or having a friend officiate, I offer everything from guided workbooks to live coaching and script support. Many ceremony packages also include vow resources.

Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples?

Always. All love is welcome here. My work is inclusive, affirming, and always tailored to you and your story.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking 3–6 months out for full-service ceremonies, and at least 2 weeks in advance for script-only or vow support. If your timeline is shorter, feel free to reach out — I'll do my best to accommodate when possible.

What happens after I reach out?

After you submit an inquiry, you'll receive a guide outlining my services, approach, and investment. Take some time to review it, and if it feels aligned, you can reply to move forward. I'm intentional about next steps so our time together is meaningful from the start.
